Bio
Baker, after spending two years as an assistant for the VPCC men's team, was named coach of the women's program in March 2026. During his time with the VPCC men's team, the Gators went 36-17. They were ranked 11th in the country his second season, when they came within one victory of making the national tournament. ... His responsibilities for the men's team centered on defense. He expects that to be an emphasis on the women's side. Will help out with the men's team when available. ... His coaching resume includes two stints as an assistant at Phoebus High School, sandwiched around four years as the head coach at Warhill (2020-23). He has extensive experience in AAU programs and area middle schools. ... Attended VPCC almost 20 years ago. ... Graduated from Denbigh High School in 1996 and has an associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) technology from ITT Technical Institute. He's a program manager for Valkyrie Enterprises in Virginia Beach.
